Eugenia Janina Perzyna z d.
[00:00:07] Autoprezentacja boh. urodzonej w 1932 r. w Sobocie.
[00:00:35] Przedstawienie rodziców: Klementyny i Zygmunta Witczaków. W Sobocie przed wojną mieszkali Polacy, Żydzi i Niemcy. Boh. miała koleżankę Żydówkę, we wsi były żydowskie sklepy. Sołtys Ney wrócił i zmarł w Sobocie.
Ludzie z Warszawy przyjeżdżali, by nielegalnie przejść granicę i handlować. Przedstawienie członków rodziny Braunów: Marty i Karola. Waldek służył w wojsku polskim, Heniek w niemieckim, Zygmunt i Helena byli młodszymi dziećmi. Braunowie chodzili do szkoły niemieckiej w Łowiczu.
[00:15:55] Podobno w 1945 r.
Buraki przewożono do Jackowic, a tam przeładowywano je do wagonów kolejowych i transportowano do cukrowni.
Wiosną 1939 mężczyźni dostawali wezwania do wojska. Kuzyn został zmobilizowany, a jakiś czas potem zwolniony. Dziecięce zabawy m.in. z Mietkiem Lewarskim.
Samoloty nadleciały nad las sobocki i bombardowały go – ucieczka do sąsiada, który miał schron. Potem rodzina schroniła się w oborze, byli tam też inni uciekinierzy. Matka zabrała koszałkę, do której włożyła chleb i proszek do prania – skutki. [+]
[00:34:25] Zacięte walki nad Bzurą – pożar w Sobocie. Głód we wrześniu 1939.
[00:44:50] W 1951 r. boh. z nakazu pracy podjęła pracę w Technikum Przemysłu Wełnianego w Białymstoku, uczyła wychowania fizycznego i była wychowawczynią w internacie. Nauczycielom dawano talony na materiał i ojciec uszył sobie ubranie. Wspomnienie sukienki do pierwszej komunii – reakcja prawnuczek. Matka za kopę jaj kupiła białą wstążkę do sukienki.
[00:46:25] Walki z Niemcami nad Bzurą [w 1939]. Niemcy bali się białej broni – boh. do dziś słyszy szczęk szabli. Na polu leżał ranny polski żołnierz, który błagał, by go dobić – reakcja matki.
[00:51:26] W czasie okupacji Niemcy stacjonowali w szkole i przychodzili do sąsiadów. Ojciec zdobył podręcznik do historii i chował go pod strzechą.
[00:56:58] W czasie okupacji dwaj krewni matki zginęli w obozach koncentracyjnych.
Do domu boh. przyszła Żydówka w stroju łowickim. Żydów wywieziono do getta w Łowiczu. Gdy mąż boh. wydał książkę, napisał do niego z Izraela jeden z łowickich Żydów.
Jeden z nich został aresztowany, ale wykupiono go. Jakiś czas przebywał w domu rodziców boh., potem wrócił do swoich działań i aresztowano go ponownie. Partyzanci wykonali wyroki na dwóch Polakach, mieszkańcach Soboty. Jednego zabito, gdy wracał z wędkowania. Widział to brat ojca. Partyzanci zabrali go do lasu.
W czasie okupacji ostrzegali rodzinę przed gestapo. Sołtys Ney był sprawiedliwy wobec ludności.
[01:26:24] Koniec wojny – pewnego dnia z lasu wyjechał czołg i stanął przed domem.
[01:32:25] W czasie I wojny ojciec stracił rodziców. Miał wtedy 14 lat i był najstarszy z czwórki rodzeństwa, najmłodsza siostra miała kilka miesięcy. Charakter ojca.
Mąż został powołany do wojska. Gdy urodził się syn, boh. zamieszkała u rodziców. Gdy zwolniło się miejsce w szkole w Sobocie, podjęła tam pracę i pracowała do emerytury.

Ever since it was established, the Witold Pilecki Institute of Solidarity and Valor has been collecting and sharing documents that present the multiple historical facets of the last century. Many of them were previously split up, lost, or forgotten. Some were held in archives on other continents. To facilitate research, we have created an innovative digital archive that enables easy access to the source material. We are striving to gather as many archives as possible in one place. As a result, it takes little more than a few clicks to learn about the history of Poland and its citizens in the 20th century.
The Institute’s website contains a description of the collections available in the reading room as well as the necessary information to plan a visit. The documents themselves are only available in the Institute’s reading room, a public space where material is available free of charge to researchers and anyone interested in the topics collected there. The reading room also offers a friendly environment for quiet work.
The materials are obtained from institutions, public archives, both domestic and international social organizations, as well as from private individuals. The collections are constantly being expanded. A full-text search engine that searches both the content of the documents and their metadata allows the user to reach the desired source with ease. Another way to navigate the accumulated resources is to search according to the archival institutions from which they originate and which contain hierarchically arranged fonds and files.
Most of the archival materials are in open access on computers in the reading room. Some of our collections, e.g. from the Bundesarchiv, are subject to the restrictions on availability resulting from agreements between the Institute and the institutions which transfer them. An appropriate declaration must be signed upon arrival at the reading room in order to gain immediate access to these documents.
Before your visit, we recommend familiarizing yourself with the scope and structure of our archival, library and audio-visual resources, as well as with the regulations for visiting and using the collections.
All those wishing to access our collections are invited to the Pilecki Institute at ul. Stawki 2 in Warsaw. The reading room is open from 9–15, Monday to Friday. An appointment must be made in advance by emailing czytelnia@instytutpileckiego.pl or calling (+48) 22 182 24 75.
